Founder: Adrienne Neirinckx, LICSW
(She/Her)
Areas of Focus: Anxiety, Career Stress, Coping Skills, Parenting, Peer Relationships, Relationship Issues, Depression, Postpartum, Life Transitions
I am a licensed independent clinical social worker. Prior to starting The Therapy Space, I was the director of an outpatient therapy clinic that serviced over 300 diverse clients as well as in my own private practice. Now, as the founder of The Therapy Space, I utilize my clinical expertise and work experience to help individuals achieve their goals. My credentials include an Associates Degree in Chemical Dependency and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Keene State College as well as a Master in Social Work from Simmons College in Boston. I have served as a Board Director for a large psychiatric hospital, as well as Executive Director of an Outpatient Counseling Program, a patient advocate and human rights officer, a program manager for adults with developmental disabilities, a program manager for a school based program, and an applied behavioral analysis counselor. My passion is to guide individuals to achieve overall emotional well-being. My clients tend to feel relief quickly, as I focus on providing you with evidence-based tools. I will help you to gain insight into your thoughts, behaviors, and relationships. I use a variety of theoretical frameworks, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solution-focused therapy, and psycho education. My approach to everything that I do is to be as real as I can be. Whether I’m working with an individual in a therapy session, with friends and family, or working with a multidisciplinary team of coworkers I’ve never been someone who is good at faking it. What you see is what you get. I hold myself to the same standards to which I hold my clients—authenticity and honesty are essential. I provide my clients with an accurate reflection of what I see and a professional assessment of how they might do things differently. I will challenge you to think critically about the choices you make and the impact those choices are having on your life. Call or message me today to get started.

Hello! You’ve made it. You’ve taken the first step to start or restart therapy and you should feel proud to have made it this far. As your therapist I will provide you with a safe space to express yourself, including the good, the bad, and everything in between. I want you to know that you are not alone. I will be an integral part of your support system while we navigate your path to self-fulfillment. I emphasize starting with achieving small goals that result in long term stability. I believe it is important to acknowledge that change takes time. As we work towards your goals, we will respect a realistic timeline, define and create a safe space and explore what supports we have in place and where we may need more. By working together, using honest and clear communication, I believe we can develop an individualized definition of well-being. As a mental health counselor, I strive to apply psychological theories and techniques in a digestible and realistic way to each person that I partner with. Everyone brings with them their own history, challenges and desired outcomes that deserve an individualized approach. Parenthood can be beautiful, exhausting, overwhelming, and complicated, all at once. If you are struggling with anxiety, depression, emotional overwhelm, or simply don’t feel yourself, therapy can offer a supportive space to feel understood and reconnect with yourself. I believe that attending to your emotional needs and overall well-being is an important part of creating a rich and fulfilling life. I also believe that each person brings unique strengths, values, and experiences into therapy. My goal is to create a warm, supportive space where you can better understand yourself, build on your strengths, and develop practical tools to navigate life with greater confidence and compassion. I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) and Perinatal Mental Health-Certified clinician (PMH-C) with 11 years of experience in mental health. I also work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, life transitions, and emotional overwhelm. My approach is warm, compassionate, practical, and collaborative. I draw from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), and supportive therapy, tailoring treatment to your individual needs and goals. Earlier in my career, I worked in inpatient psychiatry, partial hospitalization, and suicide prevention, experiences that provided a strong foundation in supporting individuals through significant mental health challenges As a mother, I bring both professional expertise and personal understanding to my work with parents. While every experience of parenthood is different, I understand how easy it can be to lose sight of your own emotional needs while caring for everyone else. You deserve a space where your experiences are heard, your needs matter, and you can work toward feeling more like yourself again. I would be honored to help you get there.
