The Therapy Space- A Massachusetts Online Therapy Group

The Therapy Space is a fully virtual therapy group practice servicing people who are struggling with mental health anywhere in Massachusetts. At The Therapy Space, we provide online therapy services for adults, adolescents, college-aged young adults, and professionals. We are committed to excellence in all services we provide. Utilizing an authentic, genuine, and compassionate approach, counseling is individually tailored to meet the needs of each client. The most important element for a successful counseling outcome is the client's commitment to the counseling process coupled with a connection with a supportive, non-judgmental therapist.

Our Therapy Approaches

  • Strength Based Therapy: Focus on identifying and leveraging an individual's inherent strengths, abilities, and resources to promote growth, resilience, and positive change.

  • Solution Focused Therapy: Goal-oriented approach that emphasizes finding practical solutions  and resources to create positive change

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): Evidence-based approach that focuses on changing unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors to improve mental well-being

  • Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT): Talk therapy combining cognitive and behavioral techniques to help individuals regulate emotions and develop effective coping strategies.

What does a typical session entail?

Every therapy session caters to the unique needs and goals of the client. A therapy hour is usually 45-60 minutes long. During the session you will be asked to talk about yourself, your thoughts and feelings, and any difficulties you are having in relationships, work or school etc. The first session or two is also an assessment period which means that you may be asked questions about things that have occurred in the past in a variety of areas which may not be obviously relevant to the reason you are being seen right now. Typically sessions are scheduled weekly and can be short-term, focusing on a specific issue, or longer-term, addressing more complex issues or ongoing personal growth.

Why Online Therapy?

Online therapy makes getting started easier than ever before. An online telehealth structure eliminates the need for transportation and any travel related costs. It also allows you to attend sessions from where you are most comfortable; meaning you can schedule therapy sessions for times that are more convenient for you. Online access on your terms can also make it easier to overcome the anxiety and stigma historically attached to seeing a therapist. Research continues to show the effectiveness of online therapy. In fact, the American Psychological Association reported that 96% of psychologists see telehealth as an effective treatment (Hames, 2023.) This means if you show up and do the work you can expect results.

If a busy schedule prevents you from being able to go to a counseling office or you prefer the privacy and safety of your own home, then The Therapy Space is the perfect fit for you! The Therapy Space offers telehealth appointments so you can get the care you need right where you are, in your own space.
